Alila Purnama, translated as The Full Moon, is one of the most luxurious liveaboard Phinisi ships in Asia, providing ultra-modern and relaxing accommodation for up to ten guests. Handcrafted in the traditional style of a Phinisi, as used by the Bugis seafarers from south Sulawesi in Indonesia, the 46- metre-long Alila Purnama consists of three decks.
In keeping with Alila’s emphasis on style and sustainability, the furniture throughout the ship is custom-made from teak, rattan and other locally sourced materials from Indonesia. Onboard are five well-appointed en-suite including a master suite with large wraparound windows offering 180-degree views of the ever-changing yet incredible landscape. Alila Purnama also has its own fully licensed PADI dive centre, spa therapist and plenty of space for wining, dining and relaxing while enjoying the sea breeze.

Komodo Island Expedition
03 May 2015– 30 September 2015Alila Purnama’s voyage to Komodo Island is a 6-night adventure, sailing the Flores Seas, commencing Saturdays to Fridays. Guests fly direct from the tropical island of Balito Labuan Bajo, to board the vessel and start sailing via Rinca Island, where Komodo dragons reside, to east Sumbawa in the Flores Sea. When not being mesmerized underwater, guests may choose to relax & picnic on golden sandy beaches, enjoying a chilled glass of champagne or explore island life, taking a walk through villages or tropical rainforests, glimpsing beautiful birds of paradise in their natural habitat.
Raja Ampat Expedition
10 October 2015 – 20 March 2016Alila Purnama set off successfully last December on its inaugural sailing to Raja Ampat in Indonesia’s West Papua province. Guests arrived by flight from Bali to Sorong for a magnificent 6-night escape, with all booking details and transfers taken care of by Alila.The Raja Ampat expedition sets off from Sorong, taking guests on an amazing sea and island-hopping adventure, winding a course past several of the Raja Ampat islands including Gam, Miskon and Yangello. Along the way, guests will encounter some of the most pristine dives sites, with the opportunity to dive by day and by night in calm blue waters adorned with beautiful coral reefs and teeming with diverse marine life-wobbegong sharks, manta and eagle rays, schools of barracuda, to name a few.
